Message from Mrs Pattison

I am very proud of all the hard work and perseverance the children and staff of Marpool have shown this term. There has been some excellent progress towards targets set and I look forward to seeing this progress continuing in the new year.
In order that ‘every child will have confidence in their own self worth and an aspiration to achieve’, school needs to be a place where our families feel welcome and children want to come to learn and enjoy.
I truly believe that this is the case.

I would like to wish all of our staff and families a very merry Christmas and best wishes for 2012.

I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 4th January 2012 for the first day of school.

Christmas week at School

Monday 12th December

Dress rehearsal for KS1 Christmas performance. Anyone that has children in buggies may come to the dress rehearsal.

Tuesday 13th December

KS1 Christmas performance Starts at 1.45pm in the school hall. Doors open at 1.30pm.
Plus FSU Christmas party

Wednesday 14th December

FSU (Nursery & Reception)
Join us on Wednesday 14th December 2011 for a festive mince pie and mulled wine.
Just come along to Foundation between 2.30pm – 3.15pm.
PLUS in the evening;
KS2 Family Christmas Sing Along
6.00–7.30pm – Ticket Only – £1 per adult, starts at 6pm. A chance to enjoy the community spirit of Christmas with some festive singing and nativity, followed by mince pies and mulled wine. Tickets still available from the office.

Thursday 15th December

School Christmas dinner
Any parents that have not ordered a Christmas lunch for their child need to inform the office by Friday 9th December. This includes any children that are entitled to a Free School Meal.

Friday 16th December

Last day of term, Christmas parties in bases.

KS1/FSU Parents

Could all parents that change library books for their children ensure they are swiped properly. If there is a problem with the computer, please notify a member of staff.

Next Friday will be FSU’s Toy Day. Please bring in a named toy to share with your friends. No electronic items please.

HELP!

We have some balloons that need to be filled with helium for the childrens Christmas dinner. If anybody can help with this please let the office know. Thank you.
